On 17–21 May 2026, the 3rd International Symposium on Chemical Thermodynamics for Young Researchers (ISCTYR 3) was held in Laurino, Italy. This international event brought together young scientists and renowned researchers working in the fields of chemical thermodynamics, thermochemistry, thermal analysis, and sustainable technologies. The PlatILPlus project was represented by Prof. Helena Passos who gave a plenary lecture and PhD students Flavia Braga and Rita Carvalho, who presented their latest research. The symposium provided a valuable platform for scientific exchange, networking, and the establishment of new collaborations, contributing to the advancement of innovative and sustainable solutions for future challenges.

This work was financially supported by national funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., within the scope of the project PlatILPlus (2022.04478.PTDC, DOI: 10.54499/2022.04478.PTDC). This work was further supported by the projects CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials, UIDB/50011/2020 (DOI: 10.54499/UIDB/50011/2020), UIDP/50011/2020 (DOI:10.54499/UIDP/50011/2020) and LA/P/0006/2020 (DOI: 10.54499/LA/P/0006/2020); LSRE-LCM, UIDB/50020/2020 (DOI: 10.54499/UIDB/50020/2020) and UIDP/50020/2020 (DOI: 10.54499/UIDP/50020/2020); and ALiCE, LA/P/0045/2020 (DOI: 10.54499/LA/P/0045/2020) financed by national funds through the FCT/MEC (PIDDAC).
