On 22-26 April 2024 took place the EUCHEMSIL 2024 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The objective of this conference was to enhance the communications and interactions within and beyond the boundaries of various liquid salts communities of molten salts, ionic liquids, eutectic solvents (of ionic nature), solvent-in-salts, molten slags and other ions dominated reaction and process media. One of our team members, Dr. Nicolas Schaeffer, presented the work "Water-in-salt solution as leaching media for the recovery of platinum group metals from catalytic converters".
