The article titled “Recovery of platinum from spent automotive catalytic converters by leaching with aluminium-based salts solutions” has been published in Separation and Purification Technology.

The study introduces a new hydrometallurgical process for recovering platinum from spent automotive catalytic converters using aluminum-based salt solutions. This method offers a more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional acid-based approaches. The process demonstrated high extraction efficiency  and economic viability, contributing to circular economy strategies and the recovery of critical raw materials.
